I think it is contagious. I know I helped a couple other people on my auto forum with an instrument panel issue, which was a $300 fix but a $10 part. One kid told me exactly how to do it and it saved me a good bit. Then of course a year or so later when he left and questions were asked about the same issue, I posted and saved them. I've also posted other known fixes and saved more money for others. I like to frequent my other forums as much as possible. I figure I've racked up a good 20k in posts with this account and others.
The computer forums can be the most rewarding if you are having comp. issues. There has to be a thousand of them.
You know, man, it's a weird thing. Anonymity brings out the best and worst in us, I think. Like, on YouTube, for example, I might see a dumb comment and there's part of me that just demands to be a venomous cunt. I don't know why that is, but at times, there's no tolerance...no patience. It's just the ugly side of me.
Then I could see somebody ask a dumb question that could be easily answered by a minute's worth of googling, but fuck it, I answer the question. Politely even. I may even offer to answer further questions if I wasn't clear enough.
On the gun boards I went to, I was always the latter. Gun board folks tend to be helpful for the most part...I guess we're used to being looked at in an odd light by some and don't want to contribute to that. But elsewhere, in general, I can be a rattlesnake or a pussy cat depending on which way the wind blows. That might be another reason I love Freeones. You fucks are are a forgiving lot.
