I always theorize that the silhouettes are actually just the straw hats imagination of the character, and just in case people complain about the change in skin color to Robin there's a reason for that, after learning about the buccaneer race main features that is the reason why Oda had it changed in the anime and it was never supposed to be, also so people don't confuse her for a buccaneer.

"The old art style in One Piece was better because it conveyed the harshness of the unforgiving pirate world and the struggles of the main characters like Zoro, 😍Nico Robin, Nami🤑, even Luffy and the others. But now, it feels like we're watching royalty, not pirates.😭
